Hamlet T. Newsom, M.D.

Dr. Hamlet Newsom began his practice of plastic surgery in Dallas in 1976 as an associate professor in the department of Plastic Surgery at Southwestern Medical School. His expertise in microvascular surgery distinguished him in the area of reconstructive surgery, which he shared with many residents in training over the years. At the same time he initiated his private practice of plastic surgery, concentrating on providing the personal care that is the hallmark of his practice.

Since that time, Dr. Newsom has endeavored to give to each patient the unhurried assurance that their problems and questions are of utmost concern, and that every available solution is considered in delivering the result that they desire.

Although the majority of Dr. Newsom's practice involves aesthetic surgery, he maintains his interest in breast reconstruction following mastectomy, as well as facial reconstruction associated with skin cancer.

The respect of his fellow plastic surgeons is reflected by his being Past President of the Dallas Society of Plastic Surgeons, as well as Past Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.

Dr. Newsom feels that an honest evaluation of the patients condition is paramount to their trust, and that this is the key to a satisfied patient. He welcomes anyone interested in any facet of plastic surgery to contact his office. You can be assured of being treated in the warm, professional manner that characterizes his practice.
